Actually I'm not sure APIs belong in modpacks, this was meant to install as two separate mod folders and it worked as intended in the client IIRC.
Please consider bringing it back up so I can recheck, if it doesn't install correctly I'll disable it myself.
Most probably mobcore overwrites some mobkit behaviors, in that case I can't do anything about it, please file an issue with mobcore.
