I USED IT ON MY HOUSE TO SAVE THE DESIGN AND ALL MY ITEMS IN MY CHEST DISSAPEARED!!!!THAT WAS 2 MESE PICKAXES AND WAY MORE STUFF!!! I DIDNT EVEN DELETE MY HOUSE, I JUST SAVED IT!!!!!!!!!! IT ALSO RENDERED MY Travelnet Evelator USELESS!!!!!!! I CANT USE MY FURNACE EITHER. OR SLEEP ON MY BED!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO DELETE THE SAVED FILE. I CAN'T EVEN DELETE THE SIGN BECAUSE IT SAYS THE THING DOESN'T BELONG TO ME!!!!! I HATE THIS MOD. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. I HAVE TO CRAETE A WHOLE NEW WORLD NOW! THE OTHER ONE TOOK ME 2 MONTHS!!!!!! WHEN I TRIED TO USE IT, THE WHOLE SERVER SHUT DOWN AND WOULDN'T OPEN> I HAD TO DELETE IT!!!!!!!!
What you describe is lacking metadata. Saving and restoring metadata is a work in progress and not yet entirely finished. Just saving something shouldn't delete metadata - but when you restore something, the metadata will most likely not be set yet.
In such a case you can help yourself and dig the travelnet elevator, the furnace and the bed - and just place them anew at the same place again. This process will update them.
As to the crash, I can't say anything more without more information.
