Initially I was very excited to see this mod and the new concept seemed so obviously better. For normal full cubes, this is clearly superior. Yes, the MTG screwdriver indeed has bad usability, so an improvement is so much needed.
But then I noticed a huge problem: Rotating becomes hard and inconvenient again if you have to deal with complex selection boxes. Because with complex selection boxes (like a toilet), you have to hit not only correct side, but also a side which faces the right way. Since this will change drastically after every click, you can no longer spam-click a node to quickly get to the correct rotation, but you must always move the mouse and concentrate to hit the right "side" of the selection box. Faces that face the wrong way willl be frequently exposed so it is easy to hit them and screw up. That's a problem because it means you still need to think when rotating.
And the push method might sometimes be useless if the selection box face is very small (like only on the right side, meaning you can't push to the left) and you must walk to a different side.
This issue could be mostly circumvented by games by simplifying their selection boxes but sometimes that's not what you want …
For many games, this will still be a massive improvement, but they can't have complex selection boxses.
Overall, this mod is still a thumbs up, because it is an improvement over the MTG screwdriver. I appreciate all new concepts of rotation.
This pack has everything you need for a technology based Minetest game. Electricity, automated mining and smelting, item transport, programmable robots and more. You will not need Technic, mesecons, pipeworks or anything else alongside this modpack. It provides everything you need via alternative methods.
The pack includes a full guide called the "TA Construction Board" which walks you through all of the mechanics. Machines have labeled faces for input and output which respect the rotation of the node. Item tubes are opaque and optimized. Generation and distribution of electricity are very well done as well as fluid pipes and other mechanics. The complex multi-block machines are fun to build and the instructions are easy to follow.
Techage is essentially a complete automation game created with Minetest that gives other games in the genre a run for their money; especially considering everything is free, open source and highly optimized.
this mod used to be great, but with the addition of categorys it makes the UI look even more terrible, not to mention it could have just used search filters based on minetest group system. This mod now uses formspec v4 which requires the server and the client to run 5.4.x or greater, not even keeping compat for latest+one version behind. this would be understandable perhaps if it used new features like model[] which i3 does, but alas it does not
It gives different colors to armors that some people might like, such as purple, red, and green. I love how the gemstones look and the boosts you get are nice effects also!
A refreshing game where all crafting is built in the world. For example, shelves can be built using frames and sticks, similar to making an iron golem in minecraft.
The lack of death and danger helps the player steadily work through the game with no pressure.
However, the exact method of crafting can be hard to work out. For example, packing different materials into ash.
As far as the tutorial content is concerned, I got pretty much what I expected. I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt mini-game though. The castle was well-made and had lots of fun nooks and crannies to discover.
Although the tutorial says it's not MTG-specific, it does focus mainly on MTG-likes, especially around the crafting and smelting systems. It is still a good starting point for things like general movement, liquid mechanics, digging/building common to the majority of major games for this platform, so still a good choice for players who haven't yet found a game they want to invest time in.
I think the Devs should add this to MTG! I like how you can select if you want the door locked, shared, or unlocked and set them to automatically close behind you. This eliminates the need for several other nodes, including extra doors with protection symbols and allows for more texture variants to be added.
I love the original travelnet mod, so having them colorful is great! I know Sokomine created them yellow to resemble the call booths in Germany, but I have never been a fan of the color: Yellow. It has nothing to do with anyone else, it's just my own preference.
I do wish the colors worked with all 15 colors or even better, the airbrush, so we could further customize the colors, but this is a great start!
If this mod gains 3d_armor support, I will probably abandon wlight as it is much more optimized, suppors node light_source attribute, & dropped items emit light.
Ores do not want to be mined. Stone does not want to be smelted. The only thing that really wants what you do to it is trees, and that is because without their leaves being broken for eggcorns, they cannot spread. It is tragic, but ultimately part of the trees' plan, that the tree will ultimately fall thereafter. Even the humble sponge would rather live its life than come with you.
Metal is a distraction. Optics are a distraction. Arboriculture is a distraction. Enlightenment is knowing you do not need to struggle to survive.
It takes hours to learn a new skill, but years to forget. Every day, we reinvent ourselves, the machines of the past, our previous crowning achievement becoming obsolete and stale. Resist the temptation to rebuild. What does it matter if it's beautiful? It serves a purpose. Perfection is a temptation.
My friend gave me like 200 chromatic glass and I have nothing to do with it because I don't use it like she does. I spent two days learning how sponges work only to realize in horror that she had three untouched thriving colonies near her home, making my knowledge worthless. What I get from this game will not be what you get from it. I think you owe it to this game to see what you really will get from it.
This is my current favorite; it's a slightly different stylistic direction from the original WinterCore (also very good) but I consider it an upgrade. The blue fire is bold and striking. The smoother look of the optics in particular is very pleasant.
I'm kind of new to these mods. When I use this mod, it will say item pine stairs not found then kick me out. I downloaded the required mods and used them. The mod seems pretty cool though even though i've never had it work properly before.
a really good mapgen mode, it makes exploring really fun, with an easy to use biome api.. this mod, some mobs_redo animals and monsters and ambience will make exploring the surface awesome, unlike default MTG where there is nothing to see/find while exploring.. would be really nice to have a building generator mod supporting this one, also would be nicer if minetest supports adding biomes at every hight without using VoxelManip or whatever.. biomes are the best!
This is great concept and well-executed. Once you get the hang of movement the rest is simple and easy to learn, but there is a smooth learning curve to the existing puzzles, and room for a lot of challenging puzzles in the future.
The game itself is short, but there are instructions on how to create and submit new levels right in the project README; adding a "puzzle creation mode" to the game itself might be a way to encourage players to submit more levels. It also feels like it could be easy to extend the concept with new mechanics, like spaces only the player (not boxes) can enter, one-way movement spaces, etc. I would very much like to see more of this in the future.
Thank you jp for this mod! Amazing, I love the 3d player. But there is a glitch/bug whenever I do anything in the invetory, turn the page, get an item, etc. the 3d model's back turns to me. I have no clue why. Anwyays good mod.
New concept is exciting but limited

good mod
nice mod, in the game i renamed it too "meseglass" now there is meseglass, obsidian glass and normal glass. i like the mod :D good work!
INSANELY useful for formspec creation
This game is INCREDIBLE. Its the most efficient way to create formspecs.
Quintessential Tech & Automation Pack
Highly recommended!
This pack has everything you need for a technology based Minetest game. Electricity, automated mining and smelting, item transport, programmable robots and more. helpful for absolute minetest user
This (sub-)game helps new user a lot and you can find secrets on the tutorial world!!!
Best protection mode
I really like this cool protection mod! Especially for survival servers as having free protection lowers the difficulty in my opinion..
nice
i use this for private things, and the super duck for transport,militairy,....
Used to be good
this mod used to be great, but with the addition of categorys it makes the UI look even more terrible, not to mention it could have just used search filters based on minetest group system. This mod now uses formspec v4 which requires the server and the client to run 5.4.x or greater, not even keeping compat for latest+one version behind. this would be understandable perhaps if it used new features like model[] which i3 does, but alas it does not
Works great, simple mod too.
I love this mod. I really missed /rtp from modded Minecraft.
this mod is very useful without a doubt :)
This mod is without a doubt one of the missing ones for minetest, who likes to look for random places to build, will like it a lot...thanks...
Very nice Mod :)
I really love this mod (especially the Deppsalte Tiles), the textures are nice, and i already built very much with this mod :D
Only working computer mod
This is the only working computer mod. It features a lot of apps, such as calculator, tnt and external storage. I appreciate your work!
Suggestions you might consider: (Not all of them are possible, just suggestions.)
very cool!
nice mod, i often scared when i went in a dungeon in vanilla minetest, but now,it has a reason! XD
It's a nice addition to ores.
It gives different colors to armors that some people might like, such as purple, red, and green. I love how the gemstones look and the boosts you get are nice effects also!
Unique systems

Nice hardcore game
If you like hard/hardcore games that don't focus as much on the mental part of things like Nodecore you may enjoy this game.
Good to see this is still being continued after Dokimi left!
very nice
one of the/-the best plane mod in minetest!
Fun and Beautiful
As far as the tutorial content is concerned, I got pretty much what I expected. I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt mini-game though. The castle was well-made and had lots of fun nooks and crannies to discover.

Simple Furniture Mod
I like the simplicity and functionality of the mod. There are only a few texture changes that I'd like to see made, but otherwise this is a great mod.
This should be Default
I think the Devs should add this to MTG! I like how you can select if you want the door locked, shared, or unlocked and set them to automatically close behind you. This eliminates the need for several other nodes, including extra doors with protection symbols and allows for more texture variants to be added.
Colorful Travelnets, YES!
I love the original travelnet mod, so having them colorful is great! I know Sokomine created them yellow to resemble the call booths in Germany, but I have never been a fan of the color: Yellow. It has nothing to do with anyone else, it's just my own preference.

Want 3d_armor Support
If this mod gains 3d_armor support, I will probably abandon wlight as it is much more optimized, suppors node
light_source
attribute, & dropped items emit light.I put in a PR for 3d_armor support. <-- deprecated now
Edit: I like that I can now create my own custom callbacks.
Edit: 3d_armor support via library: 3d_armor_light
Nice Idea
I love this idea. It definitely needs some work though. Animation updates are often very delayed.
Bonemeal muito bom
Ótimo mod, da pra fazer nascer mato com mais rapidez usando os ossos
technik for beginners
very cool mod,i love it! it adds simple technic and can automate things, also its used in many mods. one of the best mods i know!
(Mostly) zen.

Very good for decoration
textures are good and blocks are very useful for decoration btw, generation should be increased a little bit
Very good for unknown items and blocks...
I like to add this mod whenever I have ores, or unknown blocks, it helps me to know.. Thanks XD
wow :)
very cool, you've been doing a good job, thanks for that XD
Dark and Moody
This is my current favorite; it's a slightly different stylistic direction from the original WinterCore (also very good) but I consider it an upgrade. The blue fire is bold and striking. The smoother look of the optics in particular is very pleasant.
hmm
its nice but,it already exists: https://content.minetest.net/packages/Piezo_/illumination/
Very good game!
I love it. If you like crafting without workbenches and complex recipes, simple technologies, etc. - this game is created especially for you.
It keeps saying there is an error
I'm kind of new to these mods. When I use this mod, it will say item pine stairs not found then kick me out. I downloaded the required mods and used them. The mod seems pretty cool though even though i've never had it work properly before.
Brilliant All-round
This mod allows players to view the server through a different lens. On mine, it has been used as/for:
However, there are some serious bugs, such as database logging.
best mapgen mod
best plant decoration mod ever. its sooo beautiful!
best mob api, efficient
this is the best mob api as of now, because it is effiencent and allows near complete control by the modder
Best surface mapgen mode
a really good mapgen mode, it makes exploring really fun, with an easy to use biome api.. this mod, some mobs_redo animals and monsters and ambience will make exploring the surface awesome, unlike default MTG where there is nothing to see/find while exploring.. would be really nice to have a building generator mod supporting this one, also would be nicer if minetest supports adding biomes at every hight without using VoxelManip or whatever.. biomes are the best!
Very simple mob api
a really good and easy to use mob api, i made mobs in it even tho i know nothing about coding..
Great Concept, Well-Executed, Fun

I love the interface!
